About the Artist

Aimee is a singer/songwriter originally from Iowa and now resides in Nashville, TN. She attended undergrad and law school at the University of South Dakota in Vermillion, SD where she ran track and cross-country and was an NCAA All-American. With a love for creativity, she also attended fashion design/art school at The Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, New York. Her return to her music came about organically after a series of personal tribulations and losses, leading her to leave a litigation career in Miami. Writing songs and music had become a way to cope with life’s struggles. Her raw unguarded lyrics and music seek to connect with themes of love, loss, hope, challenge, and navigation of the human condition we all share. Aimee grew up as a multi-instrumentalist and was involved in church choir from a young age. Her musical influences are wide ranging, thus her sound draws from a vast mixture of musical genres resulting in a unique Country, Appalachia-Americana and Rock vibe.
